Jotter is a minimalist Ghost theme built around a simple idea: publishing shouldn't feel like hard work.

## Ethos

A blog doesn't always need to be a carefully produced article with a perfectly structured layout and several hours of editing behind it. Sometimes you just have something to say. A thought, an observation, a link you want to share, or a few paragraphs you've been thinking about.

## Design

The design is deliberately restrained. There are no elaborate layouts competing with your content and no unnecessary decoration. Instead, Jotter uses typography, spacing and [whitespace](https://www.jotter.moonrisethemes.com/whitespace-as-a-design-tool/) to create hierarchy and give your writing room to breathe.

The result is a reading experience that feels calm and familiar, with the content always taking centre stage.

## Features

Posts, pages, tags, authors, navigation, search and the other core parts of Ghost are all supported, so there's nothing you need to give up in exchange for the minimalist design.

## Customization

Jotter's [customization options](https://www.jotter.moonrisethemes.com/customization/) change the typography, colours and other visual details without having to edit the theme itself. The aim is to give you enough control to make Jotter feel like your own site, while keeping the underlying design simple and coherent.

Whilst the full range of Ghost functionality is there if you need it, individual features can be enabled or disabled to suit the way you want to use the theme. Keep things as simple as you like, or turn on the features that make sense for your site.
